Dads need to share the birth stories too! Seth's is so genuine and heartfelt. Watch as he clearly beams with pride while also being his funny self.

See how the partner feels what the pregnant person feels when Baby kicks. This is by no means an endorsement for Huggies. It is only to show the sweet connections between a pregnant person and their birth partner. The emotions are clear whether you understand the language or not.

Here, Penny Simkin explains the benefits of delayed cord clamping. If you're looking for well presented information and visualization of this practice as well as benefits for your baby, watch the video to the right. Penny is the author of many, many books on pregnancy and childbirth and is one of the founding members of DONA International.

Listen to the great Ina May on the subject of birth and fear in birth. Do you know what she says at 14:24 about how we can reduce fear in childbirth? She says, "Get a doula." She also says many other things. She's funny, she's genuine, she's compassionate, and she's an absolute pioneer and expert in the field of midwifery in the United States.

This video follows a pregnant person (who is a cardiologist herself) attempting a VBAC and what she calls wanting to avoid "a medically unnecessary c-section." It also encorporates the research, knowledge, and experience of Dr. Neel Shah, an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and Dr. Scott Bailey, obstetrician, as well as other doctors, to present this information. Midwives and doulas are also included and indicated as positive influences on birth in the video and interviews. ACOG's newest statements and guidelines concerning the labor process are also included.

Here, the folks from Birth By the Numbers update an earlier video they did which addressed the United States' rankings world-wide when it came to various sets of data including infant and maternal mortality rates, cesearean rates, and VBAC rates.  This video, while providing relevant and recent (2014) data is engaging thanks to the host's ability to keep you interested and paying attention through potentially overwhelming data.

Here is a gorgeous compilation of birth photography from one of my favorite photographers, Morag Hastings of Apple Blossom Families Photography in Vancouver. Keep in mind, and I may be stating the obvious, that these are birth photos, so there are uncensored and beautiful pictures of the birth journey. Please enjoy Morag's artistic vision and her clients' amazing experiences.

"I do not care what kind of birth you have...a homebirth, scheduled cesarean, epidural hospital birth, or if you birth alone in the woods next to baby deer. I care that you had options, that you were supported in your choices, and that you were respected."

--January Harshe, founder of Birth Without Fear

The purpose of the videos on this page is to inform only. Let these be a springboard for your own research and education for the birth and choices you want to have. Every person, every family, no matter its structure, has the right to information, support, and choice in birth.
